Admission Requirements

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

1- Faculty members who work as professors or associate professors (or equivalent positions) in any higher education institution abroad or as professors or associate professors (or equivalent positions) in higher education institutions within the country can apply to Gazi University as International Visiting Researchers.

2- A doctor lecturer, post-doctoral researcher, research assistant or lecturer (or equivalent position) working as a doctor lecturer, post-doctoral researcher, research assistant or lecturer (or in equivalent positions) in any higher education institution abroad or working as a foreign lecturer in higher education institutions within the country. or lecturers (or equivalent positions) can apply to Gazi University as International Visiting Researchers.

3- People who are registered in any higher education institution abroad and can submit a document from their advisor, institute or university showing that they are a graduate student, or who are registered in any higher education institution in the country and can submit a student certificate in the same way, can apply to Gazi University as an International Visiting Researchers.

4- International Visiting Researchers must fill out the application form available at the " International Visiting Researchers Unit" at least 7 (seven) days before the date they plan to arrive.

5- In all applications, International Visiting Researchers must submit a CV, an official letter from the institution they are affiliated with stating that they are staff/student, reference letter, information form, detailed business plan and letter of undertaking.

6- Travel, accommodation and living expenses are the responsibility of the International Visiting Researchers.

7- International Visiting Researchers are required to have health/travel insurance covering their visit period and present a valid copy of their insurance policy before starting their research. It is the International Visiting Researchers’ responsibility to obtain a residence permit if necessary.

8- In case of an academic publication as a result of the research activity, International Visiting Researchers must indicate Gazi University as the place where the research was conducted. If the research results in a product that is covered by patent and intellectual property rights, the researcher is subject to the rights and obligations that apply to Gazi University faculty members.

9- The International Visiting Researchers is obliged to present the work and research results they conducted during their time at Gazi University to the relevant academic unit in the form of a report and to give a seminar on the research topic in the relevant unit.

10- The activities of International Visiting Researchers at Gazi University are limited to 1 (one) year. At the end of the period, if deemed appropriate by the Department Board, Department Board, Unit Executive Board, activities at Gazi University may be extended for another year by the Rector.

11- The activities of International Visiting Researchers whose activities are not deemed appropriate or sufficient by the relevant units are terminated without waiting for the assignment period and their relations with the University are terminated.
