Health Insurance

You must have health insurance while you are in Turkey. If you do not have valid insurance, you cannot apply for a residence permit.

1- You can get the General Health Insurance (GSS) offered by the Turkish Social Security Institution (SGK) by paying the minimum monthly premium amount. You can benefit from public hospitals free of charge with General Health Insurance. You can use private hospitals at a discount. You can find detailed information at  https://www.sgk.gov.tr/.

2- You can also get health insurance from private companies in Turkey or your own country.
